GAMA-1 Technologies, LLC Awarded NOAA Enterprise Platform as a Service Implementation Contract

Greenbelt, MD – September 2021

GAMA-1 Technologies, LLC has been awarded the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Service Delivery Division (SDD) Enterprise Platform as a Service (ePaaS) Implementation contract. As a proven NOAA OCIO SDD service provider, GAMA-1 partners with SDD to improve, streamline, and reduce service costs associated with NOAA’s information technology support initiatives and service deliveries.

“GAMA-1’s knowledge of NOAA’s current environment and applications, complemented by our experience and expertise designing, implementing, and deploying NESDIS’ successful pilot and operational enterprise cloud PaaS, enables us to implement recommended solutions for this strategic initiative,” stated Dan Beall, Vice President of Operations. Our Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud experts will design and automate a production-ready AWS multi-account environment using AWS Control Tower while applying AWS best practices for the ePaaS architecture implementation. The implementation process includes utilizing AWS Well-Architected Framework, AWS Cloud Adoption Framework, Shared Responsibility Model, and the AWS Migration Acceleration Program. GAMA-1 uses the Mobilize offering Delivery Kits to accelerate the delivery of ePaaS and define the migration patterns and processes to migrate NOAA systems to AWS. The development of a pipeline to baseline compliance into the automation of account creation is accomplished using AWS Control Tower Account Vending Machine and NOAA’s AWS Management Account. Governance in ePaaS is implemented using Service Control Policies in AWS Organizations, Identity Management with AWS Single Sign-On, and Cost Management utilizing CloudCheckr.
